What a failure
What a vicious man I am
I’m the giant that’s been wrong every moment since the start
Day one
I became the cancer
Metastasized in your brain
And the sickness ailing your spine
I was the man that was misaligned
Now that we've gone our separate ways
I'm wishing things were the same
When you decide to cut your losses I hope I'm not left behind
Is there something wrong with me?
Please tell me
I can’t shut my eyes without imagining holding your hand
There are few moments I go without you on my mind
Her image scarred my eyelids
Sleep has burnt my eyes
What will I become?
You are what I’m hoping for
I am plagued, as a guilt filled man
With his hands pressing down on his heart
Keeping himself from true happiness
Why did I ever think I deserved perfect?
I wasn’t made for this
To be your perfect little boy
Why would i really
Ever think i meant something to you?
Is this what dreams are made of?
Vicious animals maws wide
Looking to draw blood
Is this what you came for?
Is this what dreams are made for?
I’m just another man
Broken where he stands
If I could turn back time
I would of never chased you
Digging my own grave
To be noticed by you
What will I become?
Is there something wrong with me?
Please tell me
I can’t shut my eyes without imagining holding your hand
There are few moments I go without you on my mind
Her image scarred my eyelids
Sleep has burnt my eyes
Pushing myself has never been easy
To change everything about who I am
I have always depended on your every breath
As a dog depends on his spine
I will continue vaguely into an unknown pasture
Hoping to make the most of myself

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
